Biggest problem during roll forming machine production

I think the biggest problem is delaying.
When we receiving a new order, we will write Produce Order to engineer.
Engineer will start drawing or put this order on the side. If we do not ask the schedule of that order, maybe one month is passing. When you asking for that order, engineer will tell you that he is busy with a lot of work. So work is just starting today.  One week passing for drawing. When asking the schedule, he will tell you that gave the produce order to workshop. So few days passing, when you meet the workshop manager, then you will understand engineer did not give him produce order. It is terrible but it is real. Engineer is so busy that it is easy to forget few orders. Now, one month is wasting.  It is delaying for engineer.


We have rollers production delaying, shafts production delaying, frame welding delaying, painting delaying, installation delaying, adjusting delaying.

And when machine is finished, factory is urgent to ship machines for space and money. But payment is delaying, too. It is real thing in most factories.

     If you asked me that which type of roll forming machine do you choose.
I will tell you that I will choose motor type. The speed of roll forming machine is 8-12m/min. And we can also reach 18m/min for motor system.

    There are main three kinds of roll forming machines including motor roll forming machine, hydraulic motor roll forming machine and servo motor roll forming machine. I sell all three kinds to clients. But I just like slow speed roll forming machine. Because roll forming machine is stable. I sell servo motor system roll forming machine for glazed tile and light keel roll forming machine but i do not sell servo motor roof tile machine for clients. So today, i just want to share my experience for hydraulic motor roll forming machine  problem.

    The hydraulic motor roll forming machine is using hydraulic oil for transmission. It is good when the temperature of oil is not high. But if the temperature is higher, the machine will be not working very well. You can get different length of sheets. The power of oil is not smooth. Maybe faster or slower. So temperature of oil is problem. We tried to use cool fan in pump for cooling temperature but that does not work very well. Some one will tell us why not use Air conditioning cooling system for hydraulic roll forming machine. I think this people is professional for #rollformingmachine. It is a good idea if you do not cared about the money. If you have so much money to buy Air conditioning cooling system , why not choose servo motor roll forming machine system. Power is given by servo motor, so temperature can not be so high. 

    Business is difficult now. Everyone want to get roll forming machine with acceptable price even they are rich or poor. It is business. So if you want to order hydraulic motor roll forming machine, you can ask yourself in advance.

Why do you have so much order for finishing production in short time

My machine can work a long time or short time at one time.

Do you know what is triple layers roll forming machine?

  I received one inquiry few days ago. The client asked price for Triple layer roll forming machine.  He said triple could produce three different tiles, and price was cheaper. So i am aware of it, It is worse now. So I have to write somethings for telling What is triple layer roll forming machine.

  Triple layer roll forming machine is same with Three layer roll forming machine that can produce three different roof tiles in one machine, such as double layer( can produce two different tiles in one machine and single layer roll forming machine ( can produce one tile in one machine). Personal experiences in roll forming machine business-Ted-008615031898708

The followings are my experiences for roll forming machine. If you did not agree with that, it is no problem. It is my personal knowledge for friend,only.

I want to talk what is Quotation. I am serious, not kidding now. I tell you why i show quotation. There are two kinds of quotation.

One is not for you, another is for you. I explain the one which is not for you. You can get quotation but the drawing or panel is not your market or your request. So even you get quotation, it can not help you anything. Easy to be followed by that seller. They will sell you stocked machine.  

What is stocked machine:

1. Bad quality machine,

2. Used machine: factories sold used machines for clients, because they will use new types and popular machines.

3. China popular machines: we must have stocked for China markets, so we can get order ASAP. But drawings are not suitable for your country.

4. client did not receive that machine quality, so they did not pay balance money; or clients changed this plan and do not do this business.

So you must understand what is your requirements for roll forming machine,

Drawing, Coil width, coil thickness, coil hardness. Voltage. Speed( how many meters for one minute) PLC brand. Frame strong or not and etc.

If you know above details. So you can start to ask sellers for quotation. Why i use Sellers here,

Seller=factory=trader company=trader=cheater.

Factory= rich experience factories= low experience factories=Foreign market factory=Only China market.

Rich experience factories: understand that panel very well. Know problem of that machines, so can give you suggestions. But not mean you can get good machine from that factory. Because there are a lot of people for working in that factory. Whether you can find a rich experienced sellers to cooperator. It is important. Because you need after sale service from the seller. The seller is important. Because whether can understand what you real needed and give all information included in Produce order. Because some seller just want to get your order and reduce your requirement to company. So you can accept his price and company can accept the cost.

Low experience factories:  they did not know what you want, just yes, no problem, not bad price, and produce machine for you.

Little factory: few rich experienced workers and engineers or no engineer. They can spare parts and install in one place.

Foreign market factory: they can sell machines and produce machines for other countries.

Only China Market: they do china market only, but someone thinks international business can make more money, so they also do that business.

Trader company: they buy machines from many factories. They can do business in any price. But remember that: Trader company price= factory price + profits of trader company.

They buy machines for profits. If no profits, they will not do that. After-sale service is a problem. Because when problem, you will ask trader company. And trader company ask factory. But as you know, trader company just pay few money to factory, so there is no after-sale in contract.

Trader: only one person who has a website in Alibaba or others. Part time business. Even you find a good trader, do you think he can help you after-sale service very well. Maybe you can receive : I am sorry. Sorry can not repair your machine.

Cheater= i do not know cheater very well. Just know you can not get what you want.

How to compare the quotation if you receive that.

Compare the main parameters including :

Number stations: 9 or 10 or 16 or 18 stations;

Diameter of shaft: 70mm or 75mm or 80mm. Before polishing is 70mm finished is 60mm. Empty or solid shaft. Some shafts are welding by round pipes, not solid.

PLC brand: China brand or Taiwan brand or Japan or Germany brand.

Frame: whether strong.

Compare prices:

Low range: compare them together

Middle range: compare them together

High range: compare them together.

Do not use low price range to compare with middle range and high range. Because you can not use compare golden with steel. Value is different. I know most people choose the middle range.

But you need compare middle range with high range, whether big difference. Because profits and cost are different.

If most factories give you above 15000 usd, so you can throw price under 10000 usd. For example, most price is about 15000 usd. But still factory give you 40000 usd. You can compare it carefully, even you can not buy from them, but you you can get some information from that company. Because some factory just produce machine by high profits. Like iphone. Price of iphone is expensive, but still a lot of people buy. But most do not buy iphone. Iphone just sell for high profits. Because someone like its system.

Remember that high price can reduce if you want to buy but low price can add price if you ordered.

Ted tell you one story. Story is told by one client. I do not know whether it is true or not.

He bought machine by 5000 usd but others’prcie is from 9000-15000, he made a right decision to choose lowest price that he can reduce the machine cost. So client sent advance payment. Client thought he would get machine in short days( they told him within 25 days) But when it passed about 15 days after advance payment, client asked that factory, how is my machine. That factory did not write him back timely even called. Then factory told him that these days were so busy that i will check the schedule of your machine with engineer. But he got answer that his machine did not produce, because engineer gave wrong parameters and prices. Boss did not agree with that order. If you wanted to produce, our best price is 15000 Usd. After talking, price is 13000 usd. So client was angry but he could do nothing. Just pay money again.

No cheap goods good.

If you will make your final decision, you should think that who will you cooperate

Seller+factory. Factory is important and seller is also important for you.

Because you get all things from the seller.

I think above information can tell you a lot. Can help you a little.
