1. For the frame of the machine
a. double layer machine just need one frame ( same with the single layer),so it can reduce the cost of one frame.
2.For the (PLC) control box
a. double layer roll forming machine just need one control box,so it can reduce the cost of control box
3.For the pump station of the roll forming machine
a. double layer roll forming machine just need one pump station, so it can reduce the cost of control box
They are main reasons.
Price( double layer roll forming machine)= one single layer roll forming machine +one single layer roll forming machine - Control system - Frame - Pump station
So the price is cheaper than two sets( single layer roll forming machine)
There are also reasons for the machines. But it can not effect very big point.
So another question is coming. Will you buy double layer roll forming machine?
Frankly speaking, i will not buy the double layer roll forming machine if i have enough money and working space. You will ask why?
Why? Because i am user, i must think what is important for me. I operate the machine and maintain the machines. If the double layer machine is broken, then i can not use two layers for them. Then my business is stopped. The clients will not buy from me. The competition is so serious that they can buy from others, so i will lose my clients for ever. It is terrible for me. When i maintain the doublelayer roll forming machine, it is not easy to repair for many shafts and rollers. I have not enough space to change or adjust them.
Even the double layer roll forming machine is good. My first choice is also single layer roll forming machines.
